About

I’M BRIAN GORMAN. I HELP LEADERS NAVIGATE THE CHALLENGES OF TODAY’S EVER-CHANGING WORKPLACE.

From Air Force drill sergeant to executive coach for multi-billion-dollar corporate COOs, I have made the leadership journey and learned its lessons. I served as the Deputy Director for Finance and Operations of a multi-million-dollar social service agency and supported the global transformation of a healthcare manufacturer.

I have over 1,600 hours of coaching experience, providing individual, group, and team coaching to leaders from the frontlines to the C-suite. As the host of more than 200 podcast episodes, I have garnered the leadership wisdom of thought leaders from around the globe.

My expertise in adult learning, the psychology and neuroscience of change, and curriculum development have informed the design of group coaching programs for over 600 leaders across multiple industries. In my capacity as Vice President for Program Development at Quantuvos, I worked with leaders in major organizations such as Delta Air Lines, Boise Cascade, Habitat for Humanity, T. Marzetti, Gentherm, and Brighthouse Financial.

Areas I Coach In

01.

Coaching Skills

Today’s leaders can no longer depend solely on positional authority. They need to be able to coach and mentor those they are leading. The research is clear. Leaders who bring a coach approach into their conversations are able to significantly improve engagement, performance, retention, and morale.

02.

Building and Sustaining Trust

Trust is at the core of every successful relationship. I work with Judith E. Glaser’s neuroscience-based model for building and sustaining trust (Transparency, Relationship, Understanding, Shared Success, and Truth-Telling).

03.

Living Your Values

Values are no more than words unless they are lived every day. For this to happen, people must have a clear, shared understanding of their meaning and take specific actions in their execution.

04.

Inclusive Leadership

Intergenerational differences. Cultural differences. Introverts and Extraverts. “Outside the box” vs. “follow the rules.” Inclusive leaders value the differences across their teams and know how to leverage them for success.

05.

The Future of Work

COVID-19. The Great Resignation. Artificial Intelligence. The disruptions to the workforce and the workplace are unprecedented. Being able to lead through this uncertainty requires both vision and practicality.

06.

Culture Change

Culture lives inside the actions and minds of the workforce. This makes culture change the most difficult change a leader will face. It is often also the most critical. Coaching is a proven resource for successful culture change.

07.

Work-Life Blending

Maintaining a dynamic blend of workplace demands and life outside of work is important for you as a leader as well as for those you lead. Successful work-life blending is key to avoiding burnout.

08.

Endless Change

Change, from minor to transformational, continues to accelerate. Leading through endless change requires an understanding of the human response to change as well as the universal change journey.
